As in any small business, owners or decision makers usually are wearing many hats on a daily basis. These tasks may range from sales, marketing, customer relations, and overall running of the daily operations.  As a result, many people get bogged down and start to get into the habit of responding to the emergency of the moment or what we term as “firefighting”.  In any business, emergencies of the day will always exist but owners need to prioritize.  A good way to prioritize is to set a strict schedule and get back to the schedule when the emergency is over. Set time limits for each task and stay focused until the task is complete.
